The menu is by Food Network Chopped Champion Chef Jassi Bindra. Brindra is also the executive chef at the fine dining establishment Amrina in the Woodlands. While Pok Pok Po has a very different vibe, Amrina's wildly popular chicken and waffles inspired the fast-food restaurant. The gluten-free batter mixes corn and rice starch seasoned with spices, including a deep red Kashmiri chili powder. Chef Jassi says this gives Pok Pok Po's chicken its delicious flavor and deep red color without being too spicy.

HOUSTON – After several COVID-related delays, Memorial’s newest hot spot to grab a socially-distanced drink is now open to the public. The Memorial Trail Ice House, located at Memorial Park’s historic Juergen building on Washington Avenue, opened its doors Dec. 12. According to Memorial Trail’s website, it is described as “the ultimate escape” and “the perfect spot to enjoy conversations and craft beer.”The new spot brings a half-acre of outdoor seating, which gives plenty of space for people to distance. The bar menu includes 18 beers on tap and specially-crafted cocktails curated by the Ladies of Libation. Memorial Trail Ice House is located on 6202 Washington in Houston.

HOUSTON Two of Houstons dine-in movie theaters reopened for business Thursday after they had shut their doors to curb the spread of COVID-19, Houston CultureMap reported. Star Cinema Grill, with seven locations and IPIC Theaters located in River Oaks, said they are ensuring customer safety as they slowly reopen their theaters to customers. Both movie theaters are testing contactless payment and digital ticketing systems to minimize interactions between guests and employees, according to both movie theater websites.
