A man accused of causing a deadly crash and then committing a series of armed carjackings along the Gulf Freeway has been arrested and appeared in court Friday, where a judge set his bond at $200,000.

Investigators said the chase went through several major roadways, including I-45, Hardy Toll Road, and Airline Drive. At one point, a deputy’s patrol unit collided with a motorcycle near Aldine Bender and Hardy Toll Road.
