Nike filed a trademark infringement lawsuit in federal court on Monday against the company that released a controversial customized version of the sportswear giant’s sneakers in collaboration with rapper Lil Nas X, according to NBC News. The “Old Town Road” artist worked with streetwear company MSCHF to release “Satan Shoes” on Monday. The sneakers are modified Nike Air Max 97s — decorated with a pentagram pendant and a reference to Luke 10:18, a Bible verse about Satan’s fall from heaven. The legal team for Thomas Lane, one of the former police officers charged in the death of George Floyd, filed a motion Wednesday to dismiss the charges, according to CBS Minnesota. Lane has been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree unintentional murder and second-degree manslaughter. Chauvin said no, according to CBS Minnesota. Atlanta's mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms, has tested positive for the coronavirus, she announced Monday afternoon. Bottoms, 50, said she has not experienced any symptoms of the virus. I have had NO symptoms and have tested positive," she tweeted Monday. "It leaves me for a loss of words because I think it really speaks to how contagious this virus is. Bottoms added that she felt like she was simply experiencing her usual allergies, rather than known coronavirus symptoms.
