Islla Street Brewing, who also created the popular “Big Red” beer last year, is releasing a new flavor inspired by an ode to Rachel, Ross, Joey, Phoebe, Monica, and Chandler’s trips to “Central Perk Coffee Cafe”. The beer, named “Friends Toast,” is a coffee stout steeped with brioche, nutmeg, and finished with maple and Mexican vanilla, the brewery said on their Facebook page. He put the Tap Pro bottle adapter on the bottles before pouring them and serving both the bottled beer and the draught beer to testers Mike Stockman and meteorologist Justin Stapleton. Justice said the Tap Pro works kind of like a wine aerator. The Tap Pro tricked them each a third of the time into thinking bottled beer was actually from the tap.

In a post on their Instagram page, Karbach’s Ranch Water Hard Seltzer is said to “simmer down any Texas heatwave whenever the time is right to channel the spirit of the ranch.”David Graham, marketing manager for Karbach Brewing Co., said in a release demand for a seltzer has been big for their consumers, and they’ve been working on this project for over two years. The hard seltzer drink is inspired by tequila and agave flavors, according to a news release. Karbach’s Ranch Water Hard Seltzer will hit stores beginning Jan. 4 and will be sold in six-packs or 12-packs.

HOUSTON – Two renowned Texas chefs are joining forces with a Houston brewery to craft a special pilsner that allows you to give back to the community. Austin-based chef Aaron Franklin and Houston-based chef Chris Shepherd joined forces to create a one-of-a-kind beer with Karbach Brewing in hopes to bring something good out of 2020. The new beer, called Horseshoe Pilsner will benefit Southern Smoke Foundation, supporting food and beverage workers impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, according to a release. Horseshoe Pilsner is “made to be the perfect palate cleanser” and is perfect to enjoy with Texas barbecue, said Franklin, who owns Franklin Barbecue in Austin. An African-American man is seated on a box of " Grand Prize Lager Beer" in the front center of the two cars. He sought the best brewer at the time, hiring Belgium brewmaster Frank Brogniez from Houston Ice and Brewing to create a new beer, and so Grand Prize Beer was born. Grand Prize Beer, Gulf Brewing Company (KPRC)The new brew was named after Brogniez’s original 1912 beer, Southern Select. In 1963, Gulf Brewing Co. closed its doors and Grand Prize Beer stopped producing. Today, you won’t find any cases of Grand Prize Beer, however you might find some memorabilia of the once-beloved cold drink.
