Every year the Guy V. Lewis award is handed to the best boys basketball player in the Houston area and this year, Booker T. Washington’s Chris McDermott.

Klein Oak baseball star Matt Scott is the KPRC 2 and UTMB Health Athlete of the week for March 14.

The Stafford Spartans are looking for their 2nd boys’ basketball state championship in school history.

Last year, the Hitchcock Bulldogs won their first state championship in program history. This year, they’re primed to run it back.

For yet another season the North Shore Mustangs have punched their ticket to the state championship, and for yet another season the team standing in the way of their goal is Dallas’ own, Duncanville.

We have hit one of the biggest weeks in Texas high school athletics. It marks the end of another fantastic football season and now each classification will crown new state champions as the road ends at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
