HOUSTON – Houston Astros IF/OF Mauricio Dubón has won the American League Gold Glove Award for the utility spot, Rawlings announced Sunday night.
This was the second career Gold Glove Award for the utility spot Dubón has won, with his first in 2023.

He is the first player in Major League history to win multiple Gold Glove Awards at the utility spot, which was added as a Gold Glove Award position in 2022.
This season, he made starts at second base (37), shortstop (24), third base (15), left field (15), center field (10), right field (2) and first base (1). He ranked third among AL players in Outs Above Average with 19, behind only KC SS Bobby Witt Jr. (25) and BOS CF Ceddanne Rafaela (22).
Dubón is the first player in Astros history to start at seven different positions in consecutive seasons.
Dubón also becomes the 17th player in Astros history to receive a Gold Glove Award, with Alex Bregman the last to do so in 2024. The Astros have won 34 total Gold Glove Awards in their franchise history, including a winner in seven of the previous eight seasons.
By winning a Gold Glove, Dubón is now eligible for the Rawlings Platinum Glove Award. Fans can vote online until 10:59 p.m. on Nov. 5. You can vote here.
