HOUSTON – The promotional event for Wednesday’s match between the Houston Dynamo and Real Salt Lake is “Service Industry Night,” where the team, along with sponsor Raising Cane’s, spotlights restaurant, bar, and hospitality workers in the Houston area.
For Houston Dynamo Head Coach Ben Olsen, the service industry is close to his heart after having personal experience in the late 1990s.
“I owned a bar, so I think that counts,” said Coach Olsen. “When I was about 21 years old, in a perfect cliché professional athlete manner, I bought a bar with a couple of buddies in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We had it for four or five years. When I was young, I also spent a lot of time in the bars and eating out, so it’s a great industry I got a lot of love for, and I hope to one day open up another restaurant.”
After back-to-back draws, Coach Olsen’s Dynamo will look to get more aggressive during Wednesday night’s match against Real Salt Lake.
