The Astros have traded right-handed relief pitcher Miguel Castro to the Chicago White Sox, a league source tells KPRC 2.
Castro had an opt-out on June 3, and without a clear path to playing time for the Astros, the reliever now finds a home on a team that can use him.

The veteran reliever had a 2.29 ERA in 19.2 innings for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys and would make $1.5 million if he’s called up to MLB.
Castro has 419 career MLB appearances with a 4.20 ERA with Toronto, Colorado, Baltimore, the New York Mets, the New York Yankees and Arizona.
The return for Houston is not yet known.
