Thousands of CenterPoint customers without power as severe storms pummel Houston area

HOUSTON – Thousands of customers are without electricity across the Houston area as severe thunderstorms move through Southeast Texas, according to the latest data from Entergy and CenterPoint.
As of 7 a.m. on Wednesday, more than 13,000 customers are without power.
Since Tuesday night, storms have been hitting the Houston area, bringing heavy downpours and winds.
