Box truck falls off freeway, multiple crashes reported across Houston during storms

Houston TranStar is reporting several crashes across Houston-area roadways Wednesday morning as storms continue moving through the region.

While officials have not linked the crashes directly to the weather, drivers are urged to stay alert and use caution on slick roads.

All eastbound main lanes of the 610 North Loop at McCarty Street are shut down following a crash involving multiple 18-wheelers. The crash was reported around 3 a.m., and crews are working to clear the scene.

Meanwhile, the ramp connecting to I-10 and Travis Street is also closed after officials said a box truck fell off the freeway.
