IT’S BACK: Texans’ stadium changing name back to Reliant Stadium Stadium was called “NRG Stadium” from 2014 to 2026, before reverting back to original branding

HOUSTON – NRG Stadium will be going back to being named Reliant Stadium, sources confirm to KPRC 2.
Reliant Energy also made the announcement official on their Facebook page.
“The original name of Houston’s iconic stadium is back – celebrating the fans, the memories and the energy that has defined it for 25 seasons.
Reliant Stadium returns this August. Houston, welcome back,” the post read.
NRG Stadium had been named Reliant Stadium from 2002 until 2014, when the Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation voted to change the name.
