The suspect has been identified as David Madison. He is charged with aggravated assault on a public servant with a deadly weapon, attempted aggravated kidnapping and making a terroristic threat.

This happened Monday near 24505 Birnam Wood Blvd.

According to Spring ISD police, the suspect, unprompted, blocked the school bus, walked to the door, and then displayed what the driver said looked like a gun.

Without discharging the weapon, police said the man fled the scene.

The bus driver and students were not injured, and police responded to the scene, removing the children from the bus and transferring them to school on another bus while the driver drove to a nearby campus.

Although Spring ISD says there were no active threats to any of their campuses, police patrols are being increased around bus routes and school areas as a precaution.

After hours of searching for the suspect, Spring ISD said they were able to locate the man and make an arrest. Tuesday, the suspect was identified as Madison.
