The Kerrville Police Department announced Thursday that it will release the 911 calls from the deadly Hill Country floods that occurred on July 4, 2025.

The department said the recordings will be provided in full and without redactions, to comply with multiple requests under the Freedom of Information Act.

According to a press release announcing the new information, eight media outlets submitted FOIA requests seeking the release of the calls.

Attorneys representing Graham Media Group — KPRC 2’s parent company — were among the eight FOIA submissions.

Each recording was reviewed for caller privacy and legal compliance, and the department worked closely with the Texas Attorney General’s Office throughout the process.

Following what officials described as an extensive review, it was determined that the calls must be released in their entirety to the requesting media organizations.

The department cautioned that the recordings contain disturbing content that may be highly distressing for community members, employees, and the families and friends of those who lost their lives in the floods.
