67-year-old woman sent to hospital after sexual assault in Lake Jackson

LAKE JACKSON – A 67-year-old woman was hospitalized over the weekend after being sexually assaulted, according to the Lake Jackson Police Department.

On Saturday, Nov. 22, at 6:40 a.m., police responded to reports of a sexual assault at a woman’s home located in the 400 block of Huisache Street.

Officers said the woman was injured and was transported to the emergency room for examination.

Investigators are working to determine what happened, but said they do not believe there is a threat to the public.
