Driver dies after being ejected from vehicle during crash on I-69 at Lauder Road

HOUSTON – A driver is dead, and a child is injured after a crash on I-69 at Lauder Road on Monday morning.

According to responders, the driver of a Chevy Tahoe lost control of their vehicle, hit a rail on the freeway, flipped the truck, and hit a barrier.

First responder said the driver was partially ejected from the truck, which had six passengers inside during the crash.

A child was injured, but no one else sustained injuries. The freeway was closed for several hours while first responders worked to clear the crash.

Deputies say alcohol may have been a factor.
