HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The National Weather Service has sent a team on Tuesday to assess damage after an apparent tornado touched down in the Klein area of northwest Harris County on Monday.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tells KPRC 2 about reports they received of a possible tornado near Mills and Perry Road.
Several reports were received from Chasewood and Vintage Preserve of a possible tornado.

Damage was reported from what appeared to have been a tornado just southeast of Spring Cypress Road and Highway 249. Power was out in the area near Creekfield and Stuebner Airline Road.
In the 9000 block of Bayou Bluff Drive, damage to the roof of a home was reported.
Sheriff Gonzalez said everyone inside the home was able to escape without injury.
The Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office reported damage to multiple homes in the 8000 block of Summer Grove Circle, the Memorial Northwest neighborhood.
Constable Mark Herman told KPRC that over 100 homes in the area were damaged by the storm.
Herman also posted a drone video showing the extent of damage to many homes.
Harris County ESD 11’s administrative campus, located on Stuebner Airline Road, was damaged by the tornado, but all staff are accounted for and safe.
The Cy-Fair Fire Department also posted photos of damage in the Riata Ranch subdivision.
KPRC 2’s Gage Goulding was in a neighborhood very close to Memorial Northwest and witnessed multiple large trees that had been toppled by the storm. This was off Village Hill Drive, which is just off Champion Forest Drive north of Louetta Road.
KPRC 2’s Bryce Newberry was in the 8000 block of Summer Grove Circle in the Memorial Northwest neighborhood, where multiple homes were damaged. Newberry witnessed broken windows to homes as well as a damaged garage along with multiple trees down.
Just west of the Memorial Northwest neighborhood, KPRC 2’s Re’Chelle Turner spoke to residents who are already starting to clean up after the tornado brought down trees.

ESD 11 HeadQuarters near Hooks Airport
KPRC 2 received multiple images of a wall cloud and of what appears to be a tornado in the area of Hooks Airport. In the video below, you can see what appears to be a tornadic circulation on the ground. This is near Harris County ESD 11’s headquarters near Stuebner Airline Road and Spring Cypress Road.

Not long ago, we received another video of a tornado taken from the Gleannloch Farms neighborhood, which is located just north of the Memorial Northwest neighborhood.
So far, we have not gotten any reports of injuries.
The National Weather Service says at least one tornadic storm moved across the area Monday. Another unconfirmed tornado may have occurred over Austin/Waller County.
