Man, woman dead in apparent murder-suicide in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A man and a woman are dead in what deputies believe was a murder suicide in Montgomery County on Wednesday.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a domestic dispute on FM 1314 and SH 99 when someone called and said a woman and a man were physically fighting inside a blue Chevrolet pickup truck.
Deputies eventually located the vehicle in the 202000 block of Duester Lane in Porter and found a 41-year-old man, identified as Kevin Doak, and 28-year-old Victoria Yates dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Investigators believe the shooting was a murder suicide based on the evidence from the scene.
