A sergeant was in her vehicle when a driver rear-ended her, Gonzalez said.

They said the driver showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

The sergeant was taken to an urgent care clinic for minor injuries and had since been released.

During the investigation, a second driver hit the back of an unoccupied HCSO patrol vehicle.

The driver also showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for DWI.

“I’m relieved our members are okay,” said Gonzalez on social media.
