Texas Youth Summit: A celebration of conservative values

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Thousands of conservatives gathered this weekend in The Woodlands for the Texas Youth Summit. The event brought together students, families, and political leaders to celebrate and promote conservative values. In this report, we take a closer look at the summit’s highlights from Day One and what to expect as the event moves into Day Two.

Day One of the Texas Youth Summit was marked by powerful speeches and discussions focused on conservative activism. One key moment was a tribute to Charlie Kirk, a conservative leader whose impact is still being felt after his tragic death.

The event’s core mission is to identify, educate and train the next generation of conservative leaders. As participants filled the event hall, many attendees shared their thoughts on the importance of upholding conservative values in the face of a divided nation.

Gabriel Arias, a Richmond resident, expressed why he felt it was essential to attend with his family,

“Our nation is heavily divided,” he said. “We need people in leadership positions who share our values of truth, justice, and equality for everyone so we can all achieve the American dream.”

Marlene Vazquez, a teacher and Texas Youth Summit attendee, shared her perspective on raising the next generation to be bold in their values,

“I want my children to be part of history. This event equips them to stand for what’s right. It’s about teaching them to be leaders in the future,” she said.

Day Two of the summit will shift to discussions on policy. Topics on the agenda include the role of Latinos in the conservative movement, vaccine choice, and border security. For many, the event’s timing is especially poignant following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a key figure in the conservative community.

Chris Russo, who leads Texans for Strong Borders, spoke on the challenges of bridging divides on immigration issues. He emphasized that the nation’s border security crisis requires bipartisan cooperation, “The immigration crisis is not a product of just one party. It’s a result of years of neglect from both sides. There are vested interests in not solving the problem.”

The memory of Charlie Kirk was at the forefront of the event, with conservative lawmakers speaking to honor his mission. His focus on liberty, constitutional values, and promoting strong leadership continues to inspire the summit’s attendees.

As the Texas Youth Summit continues today, a fireside chat with Texas Governor Greg Abbott is scheduled, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage directly with key conservative figures. The summit will keep its focus on educating and training students to become champions of conservative principles.

The Texas Youth Summit serves as a platform for young conservatives to connect, learn, and grow in their advocacy for conservative values. Stay tuned for more updates on the event and its impact on the political landscape.
