The Houston Astros have had a rough go of it over the past couple of weeks, but they got back on course with a gritty series sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
On Wednesday, the Astros took down the Diamondbacks, 4-3, to complete the three-game sweep.

The Diamondbacks took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run, and that score would hold for the next several innings.
In the bottom of the sixth, Christian Walker and Yainer Diaz scored to give Houston the lead. A single by Mauricio Dubon in the top of the eight extended Houston’s lead to 3-1.
The D-Backs responded right away, scoring two runs in a base-loading sequence in the bottom of the eighth.
Christian Walker singled to bring home Taylor Trammell in the top of the ninth inning. Astros’ closer Josh Hader came in the bottom of the ninth, striking out two batters and securing the win.
The victory lifts Houston to 60-42 on the season.
The Astros had a rough month of July, as the squad currently leads all of baseball in players on the IL. However, the team has seemingly steadied the ship, winning its last four games.
