The Houston Astros shut out the Chicago Cubs 2-0 Sunday afternoon to clinch their weekend series.
The game’s lone scoring happened in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Jose Altuve homered to bring home Luis Guillorme from first base and give Houston the 2-0 advantage.

Framber Valdez got the start at the mound. In 6.0 scoreless innings, he tallied six strikeouts and allowed five hits and two walks. Bryan Abreu struck out four batters in just 2.0 innings, and Josh Hader came in for the ninth and held the shutout.
After winning Friday night and losing last night, Sunday’s win clinched the series for Houston.
