A firefighter was airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a fan inside Fire Station No. 7 in The Woodlands Township, according to officials.

The incident happened in the bay area of the firehouse on the 26700 block of Kuykendahl Road. Deputies with Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to assist Emergency Services District 11.

Officials say the firefighter was struck by a fan and suffered injuries serious enough to require transport by Life Flight.
