Daikin, the world’s largest air conditioning manufacturing company, took over the Astros’ ballpark name on Jan. 1, 2025, as the venue’s name changed to “Daikin Park.”
With Altuve as their new official partner, he will support community-driven initiatives, promote innovative products, and help connect Houston through educational programs and youth sports development in underserved areas.
Altuve will also serve as a liaison to bring awareness to Daikin’s community and educational efforts to fans and the Greater Houston community.
“Houston is home,” the nine-time MLB All-Star and two-time World Series champion said in a written statement. “I’ve spent my whole career here, and I appreciate the opportunity to partner with an organization like Daikin. Participating in a partnership that supports this city, our community, and Astros fans means a lot to me.”
