“King of the Hill” will be set nearly 10 years in the future, with Hank and Peggy Hill moving back home to Arlen, after years of working a propane job in Saudi Arabia. There, the family reconnects with their old friends, Boomhauer, Bill and Dale to enjoy retirement. Bobby, Hank’s son, meanwhile is living his dream as a chef in Dallas.
Some Texas fans won’t have to wait too long and get a first look at the series revival during the ATX TV Festival at Paramount Theatre in Austin.
Known facetiously as “TV Camp for Grown Ups,” sitcom fans and industry folks will gather in downtown Austin for a weekend to see how their favorite shows are made, hear from creators and cast members, and attend special screening events.

Not only will ATX TV Fest attendees get a chance to see “King of the Hill‘s” premiere, but the cast and creators will also hold a panel conversation to discuss the series and revisit past episodes and their experiences working on the show.
That panel includes Pamela Adlon, who voices Bobby Hill, Toby Huss, and co-creators Greg Daniels and Mike Judge. The latter also voices the titular character Hank Hill and his close friend Boomhauer.
That’s where KPRC 2 learned Huss will be taking over as the voice of Dale Gribble, who was previously played by Johnny Hardwick, but tragically passed away in August 2023.

“King of the Hill” is the second series by Mike Judge to see a revival. The first being, of course, “Beavis and Butthead,” which according to Variety, will have its third season debut on Comedy Central this July. Its first two seasons previously aired on Paramount+ and were preceded by its revival film, “Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe.”
“King of the Hill” will be available for streaming, exclusively Hulu on Disney+ on August 4, 2025.
