9 rides at Houston Rodeo shutdown due to wind

HOUSTON – Strong winds have forced the closure of nine rides at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Tuesday.

Officials with the rodeo confirmed the closure of the nine attractions.

The rides closed include the following:

  • Titan
  • Mach one
  • Crazy coaster
  • Sky ride
  • Sky flyer
  • Wild River
  • XL wheel
  • Big wheel and Galaxy coaster

A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Winds gusting of up to 45 mph will be possible through the advisory.

The winds will remain breezy through the evening, but should begin to calm down the later we get,
