KPRC 2 spoke with the rapper about why he feels called to help.
‘Just to be there for the people,’ said Trae. ‘To be there for the people and let them know they are not alone. Sometimes when people are in their darkest times it can break them or it can give them hope to keep going.’
These are some of the images Trae sent KPRC 2′s Deven Clarke from Altadena and Pasadena.
Much of the area is reduced to ash. Trae isn’t only visiting the areas that burned, earlier Friday, he bought 300 burgers and gave them out at a shelter where some of the victims are now staying.
Later on he will head back to other areas of need.
