- December 19th, criminal mischief. He was released on bond.
- December 24th, Assault, bodily injury. He was released on bond, and the case was dismissed.
Most recently he was arrested on January 10, on a criminal trespassing charge. Rodriguez was arrested by the Harris County Precinct 6 Constable’s Office. As of Friday afternoon, he was being processed in the jail.
The mother of the family spoke anonymously to KPRC 2 Reporter Corley Peel, revealing that Rodriguez is her daughter’s ex-boyfriend. She believes he has been upset about their breakup.
“He came and broke my windshield. The next day he was in the backyard knocking on windows. And then a couple of days later, he broke my mom’s windshield to her truck,” said the woman.
She said Rodriguez keyed, and spray painted her car. She had to replace the windows to her home that he is accused of breaking.
According to the mother, her son had to receive stiches after Rodriguez bit him. She was told the assault charge was dismissed because probable cause was not found.
She said every time Rodriguez is arrested, he is released on bond and returns to their home.
“I don’t sleep anymore. I’m constantly watching the cameras. It’s affecting my work, my sleep, everything,” said the mother.
According to Rodriguez’s bond conditions, he is ordered to make no threatening or harassing communication with the family. This does not fall under the complete no contact umbrella. The family said they have filed a protective order but said they were told it could take three months.
The Harris County District Attorney’s office tells KPRC 2 they are looking into the timeline of the protective order. A Deputy Chief with the District Attorney’s office said they are also going to evaluate Rodriguez’s charges to see if a judge can upgrade his bond conditions to where he is ordered to have no contact with the family.
In the meantime, the family says they are unsure how much more they can endure.
“I want him put away,” said the woman.
