Tomball, TX – A man was shot to death while confronting burglary suspects at his trailer in Tomball.

The victim was identified as Dustin Nelson, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

The shooting happened at his trailer on Champagne Circle at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators said an unknown number of suspects shot Nelson and he stumbled to a neighbor’s home for help.

“A deputy was arriving home when he observed a male with an apparent gunshot wound asking for help,” said Sgt. Richie.

The deputy called 911, but investigators said Nelson died before paramedics arrived.

Investigators were interviewing witnesses and looking for Nelson’s roommate who was not home at the time.
