AUSTIN – Former President Donald Trump addressed border security at a rally in Austin, joined by Alexis Nungaray, who shared her daughter Jocelyn’s story.
Trump introduced Nungaray, referring to her daughter as a “precious angel.”

In June, Jocelyn was killed and authorities later arrested two Venezuelan nationals, allegedly linked to the Tren de Uruguay gang. Trump attributed their presence in the U.S. to current immigration policies.
“These monsters were in Border Patrol custody, but under a program Kamala Harris created to abolish detention…they were released into our country,” Trump said. “Alexis, we cannot begin to imagine your pain.”
Nungaray expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to speak, describing the emotional toll of losing her daughter.
“She was just being a child,” Nungaray said. “Due to the Biden-Harris policies we have here, she’s not here anymore. She was taken from her vulnerability, and they made her a target and ran with that. And now I will forever be a grieving mother and my son will forever be a grieving brother who will no longer get to grow up with his sister.”
She also voiced frustration over a lack of response from Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Kamala Harris has never reached out to me, just even as a human, to give her condolences,” Nungaray stated. “I find it very inconvenient for her to attempt to apologize to me just days before this election.”
Nungaray thanked Trump and Senator Ted Cruz for their support, saying they have been “a tremendous amount of help” during this difficult time.
