Most of the time, this is how it happens. You get informed through the mail. However, sometimes it’s not that simple.

What if you bought a used car? What if you changed addresses and mail that should be coming to your new place is still going to your old address.

There is a way to find out if your vehicle has an active recall.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration can tell you. All you need is your vehicle’s license plate number and VIN number.
