If you drive a Toyota Tundra from the last few years, this recall may affect you.
Toyota is recalling about 443,000 of its 2022 to 2025 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid trucks in the U.S.

The issue?
Moisture can cause the reverse lights to stop working, and that’s a problem.
Why does that matter?
When the reverse lights fail, people around you might not realize you’re backing up, and your own visibility could be limited, creating a real safety risk and increasing the chance of an accident.
The good news
Toyota has a fix ready. If your Tundra is affected, dealers will replace both reverse lights with improved versions for free of charge.
If moisture has caused rust or damage that has spread into the wiring connected to those lights, the dealer will also repair or replace those wires at no cost.

Toyota plans to start notifying affected owners by mid-July 2025.
But you don’t have to wait. You can check now to see if your truck is part of the recall by visiting Toyota.com/recall or nhtsa.gov/recalls and entering your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate number.
If you have questions, Toyota’s Brand Engagement Center is available at 1-800-331-4331.
Bottom line?
If you own a Tundra, especially a 2022 model or newer, it’s worth taking a minute to check.
A quick VIN search could save you a trip, or better yet, help prevent a crash.
