Where to celebrate Veterans Day in Houston: Parades, festivals, and tributes

This Veterans Day, Houston is coming together to recognize the men and women who have served our country. With events ranging from patriotic parades to community festivals and veteran resource fairs, there’s something for everyone.

Downtown Houston will honor veterans at the Houston Salutes American Heroes Commemoration and Parade on Nov. 11, starting with a ceremony at 10 a.m. at 900 Bagby St., featuring a keynote speaker and a moment of silence at 11 a.m. to mark the signing of the World War I Armistice. The American Heroes Parade follows at 11:30 a.m., beginning at Dallas and Bagby streets. Admission is free, with parking available in the Theatre District garage.

Easy Honda is rewarding a local veteran with a new vehicle this Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2025. Through their Vehicles for Vets program in partnership with Houston-based nonprofit NextOp, the dealership is providing a veteran with reliable transportation to support a new career opportunity. The presentation will take place at 10:30 a.m. at Easy Honda, 10250 Katy Freeway, Houston. The public is invited to attend.

Veterans & Visionaries is a Veterans Day experience on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, from 2–7 p.m. at The Ion, 4201 Main Street, Houston. The event connects veterans with businesses, resources, and career opportunities, featuring a vendor expo, panels with Warrior Rising, IVMF, and JP Morgan Chase, free professional headshots, and a closing reception with food and drinks.

Houston veterans can access free legal advice and services as part of Texas Veterans Legal Aid Week. Clinics include 30-minute consultations, estate planning help, and a municipal court veterans docket. No appointments required.

The 2nd Annual Backing The Brave Fall Festival invites the community to celebrate veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and their families at Unity Park in Magnolia on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 2–7 p.m. Attendees can enjoy live music from Micah Cheatham, Scotti Fraser Band, DJ Boot On Tha Ga$, and more, vendor booths, food trucks, a cigar lounge, a full-service bar, and a Memorial Walk honoring fallen heroes.

The Woodlands will honor veterans at a Veterans Day Tribute ceremony from 4–5 p.m. at The Woodlands Central Fire Station, 9951 Grogan’s Mill Road. The event includes a presentation of colors, musical performances, remarks from local dignitaries, and a donation drop-off for troops. Admission is free.
