Simple Halloween games that’ll bring new tricks and treats to your party

HOUSTON – Happy Halloween everyone!

No matter how or where you’re celebrating today, we’re here to show off some fun and spooky games we know your party guests will love.

And don’t worry, these simple games are all about tricks, treats, and a little friendly competition.

Here are the 3 games we played in Studio B this afternoon:

Game #1:Trick or Treat Memory Match

What you’ll need: plastic cups, and small Halloween-themed items to place under them

The goal of the game is to make as many matches as possible by flipping over cups that have Halloween-themed items underneath them. Each Insider will have multiple cups in front of them. They will flip 2 cups over at a time. The player that remembers where items are hidden and makes the most matches in 60 seconds will win. If the Insiders both find all their matches, the player that did it first will win.

Game #2:Mummy Wrap

What you’ll need: A few rolls of toilet paper

Using only their hands, each Insider will wrap one Houston Life host with as much toilet paper as possible. When the host says go, wrapping begins. The winner is the mummy/host who has the most coverage in 60 seconds. Audience cheers will determine the winner.

Game #3: Creepy Crawly Catch

What you’ll need: 2 hula hoops, small plastic spiders, and spider webs

Each Insider is paired with a “Houston Life” host who will be holding a hula hoop covered in cobweb material. From behind a designated throwing line and standing with their back turned toward the web, Insiders must throw plastic spiders over their shoulder and toward the “web” to see how many get caught within 60 seconds. Insiders cannot step or lean over the throwing line. Spiders must be thrown one at a time by each Insider. Spiders must stick for the duration of the contest to count. At the end of 60 seconds, the contestant with the most spiders caught in their web wins.
