Exploring new additions to this year’s 51st annual Texas Renaissance Festival

HOUSTON – Hear ye, hear ye! The Texas Renaissance Festival is back for its 51st year, bringing knights, fairies, kings, and turkey legs galore to the kingdom of Todd mission!

From thrilling jousts to handmade crafts and endless mead, this is the ultimate trip back in time — Texas style.

Whether you’re there for the turkey legs, the jousting, or just to live out your best fairy-tale fantasy – this year’s festival goes through November 30th, and Thanksgiving Friday.

This weekend’s theme is All Hallow’s Eve, and the festival will transform into an eerie, enchanting wonderland with seasonal decorations, intricate pumpkin displays and roaming performers adding a touch of seasonal whimsy.

The Spanish Court will celebrate the Dia De Los Muertos holiday one week early with elaborate seasonal makeup and an ofrenda to honor deceased loved ones.

The festival-famous Kettle Corn Eating Contest kicks off at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday with contestants vying for sweet popped glory at the New Market Village’s gazebo.
