Halloween-Inspired Drinks
Alexis Mijares and Angelique Cook-Cavazos are the creative forces behind the pop-up. They stopped by the “Houston Life” studio with two of their signature drinks. Scroll down for the recipes and tips to bring a little Halloween magic home.

✨ Familiar Feeling (non-alcoholic)
- 1½ ounces Ritual N/A Tequila
- ½ ounce Giffard N/A Pineapple Liqueur
- 0.1 ounce Black Cherry Cordial
- ½ ounce Lime Juice
- Ginger Beer, to top
- Garnishes: Mint sprigs, dehydrated lime wheel, gold glitter
- Optional: Festive glassware, like a Black Cat mug
Preparation:
- Mix all ingredients except the ginger beer.
- Shake and strain into your chosen glass.
- Top with ginger beer.
- Garnish with mint, a dehydrated lime wheel, and gold glitter.
✨ Oshun’s Offering
- Bacardi Rum Blend
- ¾ ounce Pumpkin Orgeat
- ¾ ounce Lime Juice
- Orange Liqueur
- Brown Butter
- Almond
- Garnishes: Mint sprigs, dehydrated lime wheel, gold glitter
- Optional: Purple flower cup or preferred glass
Preparation:
- Combine all ingredients except garnishes.
- Shake and strain into your preferred glass.
- Garnish with mint, dehydrated lime wheel, and gold glitter.
