Houston’s favorite spooktacular event is back – ‘Zoo Boo’ at the Houston Zoo

HOUSTON – It’s that time of year again!

The Houston Zoo’s beloved ‘Zoo Boo’ event is back with new, slightly spooky attractions and fun for the whole family.

All month long you can get the perfect photo op, walk through a glow-in-the-dark adventure and even get a chance to see animals enjoy their own Halloween treats

And for the little ghouls and goblins (and big goblins too) Halloween costumes are encouraged!

For the first time, Galapagos Islands will take on a spooky new look using projection mapping technology to tell a ghostly tale. The immersive display casts animated visuals on the rocks and landscape that will captivate guests as they enter the Zoo.

Back by popular demand, guests can see Glowing Pumpkins next to Reptile and Amphibian House and be entertained by the Talking Pumpkins next to the Flamingo Terrace and at the Spooky Forest.

Plus, there’s a brand-new 21+ event this year called ‘Spooky Spirits,’ happening this October during Zoo Boo presented by King & Spalding. Enjoy a wickedly fun night dressed in your favorite Halloween gear – costumes are a bonus but faces must be visible – where you can see the Zoo glow and sip on seasonal cocktails and craft brews.
