Big Sky Steakhouse Gets a Bold Remodel at Coushatta Casino Resort

The exclusive behind-the-scenes look before the doors reopen to a new culinary chapter

Kinder, Louisiana – After 30 years of serving guests with classic charm, Big Sky Steakhouse at Coushatta Casino Resort has undergone a full transformation.

“It’s our 30th anniversary for the casino and it’s the 30th year of Big Sky, we are so excited to give the public what they’ve wanted for so long, which is an exceptional fine dining steakhouse,” executive director at Coushatta, Nate Tanner said.

The restaurant, long known for its rustic style, now features a modern, upscale design while still honoring its Louisiana roots. From new lighting and furnishings to revamped finishes and an elevated ambiance, Big Sky has embraced a fresh new identity without losing the warmth guests have always loved.

“I’m excited about seeing people eat and just have joy when they leave,” Tanner said.

August 4th marks the official grand opening, but you can currently make a reservation on OpenTable; however, the remodel isn’t just about appearances. The menu is getting a serious upgrade, too.

“We try to bring more of the local things that are South Louisiana, I grew up here,” said executive chef, Matthew Beard.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time visitor, the new Big Sky Steakhouse promises to be a must-visit dining experience at the heart of Coushatta Casino Resort.

“Sit down and enjoy it like you’re at your family’s house,” Beard said.
