HOUSTON – With a career that spans nearly four decades, Donnell Rawlings has dozens of films, TV shows and even a recent Netflix comedy special under his belt.
Now, as the actor, comedian and podcaster travels the U.S. with new material, he’s bringing his ‘Black and Mild’ comedy tour to the Houston Improv.
“To be able to sustain relevance and be able to be funny and continue to evolve for 30 years I’d say there’s something to be said for that,” said Rawlings about the longevity of his career, which took off after appearing on ‘Chappelle’s Show,’ the sketch-comedy show starring comic Dave Chappelle.
Watch his full interview with Houston Life’s Derrick Shore to learn more about his dynamic career, his real and raw comedy philosophy, and why being a dad is his favorite role to date.
