Houston, Texas – Houston is gearing up for an exciting charity soccer event this Sunday, July 20, at Shell Energy Stadium. The “Stars and Stripes Showdown” will feature a thrilling match between local celebs and military heroes, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CT.
For every ticket sold, $3 will be donated to the Texas Veterans Athletics Association (TVAA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing veterans and their families with opportunities to participate in sports activities. TVAA’s mission is to help veterans rebuild the camaraderie they experienced while serving in the military, fostering community and support through athletics.
As an added bonus, ticket buyers will receive the choice of an additional home Dynamo match ticket. They can attend either H-Town Night on Saturday, July 19, when Houston hosts the Philadelphia Union, or Military Appreciation Night on Friday, July 25, against the LA Galaxy.
The charity match lineup promises star power and local flair. Confirmed Houston celebrities include TV personalities Tessa Barrera, Melanie Camp, Lauren Kelly, and Heather Smith; Dynamo alumni Arturo Alvarez, Corey Ashe, Brian Ching, and Andrew Driver; MLB pitcher Daniel Stumpf; UFC fighter Michael Aswell; and music industry artists Micah Cheatham and Keith Kilgore.
Fans eager to support this great cause can purchase tickets through FEVO by visiting the Houston Dynamo FC website or by searching “Stars and Stripes Showdown Tickets.”
