Round Top Film Festival brings vibrant cinematic charm to the Texas Hill Country for the second year

HOUSTON – Lights, camera, and action with a whole lot of Southern hospitality.

Founded by mother-daughter duo Skylar and Shanna Schanen, the Round Top Film Festival is back for its second year. Together, they’re transforming the idyllic small town into a cinematic destination that not only celebrates creative storytelling but also uplifts women in leadership and showcases the power of intergenerational collaboration.

This year’s female-led festival returns to the charming Texas Hill Country from Nov. 6 - 9 with a curated lineup of films that will move you from laugh-out-loud comedies to thought-provoking documentaries.

Beyond the screen, guests can expect inspiring panels featuring rising talent, seasoned Hollywood insiders, along with lively social nights filled with food, music, and entertainment.

Submissions are open through August 25, with categories including Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, Drama Short, Comedy Short, Documentary Short, and a brand-new “Episodic” category for projects under 60 minutes. Screenings and panels will take place at venues like Festival Hill and The Dance Hall, all set against Round Top’s scenic landscape and signature small-town charm.

Plus, “Houston Life” viewers get an exclusive offer: use code HLRTFF25 at checkout and be among the first 50 to purchase full-festival passes at the extended early bird price. Click here to buy a pass now.
