HOUSTON – Powerhouse chefs Martha Stewart and José Andrés know their way around a kitchen, so they’re the perfect pair to host ‘Yes, Chef!’ -- a brand new culinary competition show on NBC.
The show isn’t just about creating delicious dishes, it’s about helping the 12 chefs overcome obstacles like their own egos, tempers and insecurities.
“Each chef was chosen particularly because of their cooking skills, but in addition, because they have a problem getting along in the kitchen with others,” said Stewart about the series, which premieres tonight on KPRC 2.
Throughout the competition, the goal is for these chefs to work together to let go of whatever has been holding them back in their careers.
“In the process I do believe they are becoming the best versions of themselves,” said Andrés, who has dedicated his life to changing the world through the power of food.
“We are there to help mentor them and tell them ‘you can grow up, you can get better, you can actually succeed,’” said Stewart, whose culinary expertise helped her become the first female billionaire in the United States.
Will these chefs learn how to handle the heat in the kitchen? Watch the full interview with Houston Life co-host Derrick Shore and don’t forget to tune in for the ‘Yes, Chef!’ premiere tonight on NBC.
