HOUSTON – From whimsical car creations, slabs, low riders to custom crafted classics, Houston’s Art Car Parade is celebrating 38 years of creativity on the move!
This year’s parade will feature about 280 vehicles with more than 120 first-time entries, alongside returning favorites that have helped make Houston the undisputed Art Car capital of the world.
The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art, renowned for championing people-powered artistic expression, will once again bring together creators, enthusiasts, and fans for this unique celebration of creative freedom on wheels.
The four-day celebration includes the Main Street Drag, family activities, afterparties, the downtown parade and more.
Plus, this year’s Grand Marshal for the parade is the one and only, legendary Olympian Carl Lewis!
The parade will start Saturday at 2 p.m. and the official start is at Dallas St. (inbound Allen Parkway) & Bagby St., where it will head into downtown.
