Started in 2024, book lovers are in for a treat with the second annual Houston Independent Bookstore Crawl.
This month-long event celebrates Houston’s thriving literary community by inviting readers to explore a wide variety of indie bookstores across the city.
Whether you’re hunting for rare books, discovering local authors, or simply enjoying the charm of small bookstores, the crawl offers something for everyone. It’s a perfect way to spend your weekends, support local businesses, and dive into the literary world that Houston has to offer.
How to Participate
- Grab Your Bingo Card: Pick up your bingo-style crawl card at any participating bookstore. The card will guide you through the crawl, giving you a fun way to track your progress as you explore each unique shop.
- Visit Bookstores: There are dozens of participating independent bookstores in Houston, each with its own vibe and selection of books. The more stores you visit, the more you’ll discover about Houston’s literary scene.
- Collect Stamps: At each bookstore, you’ll receive a stamp or signature from the bookseller to mark your visit. Collect as many stamps as you can throughout the month.
- Enter the Raffle: Visit at least 10 bookstores to be entered into a raffle with amazing prizes and submit your card at your last stop.
