“Bursting” Valentine

DIY Valentine craft: 'bursting' valentine (Craftworx)

Create a heart-shaped surprise filled with treats.

What you need:

♥ Paper

♥ Scissors

♥ Glue

♥ Heart to trace

♥ Markers, stickers, etc. to decorate heart

♥ Paper shreds for stuffing

♥ Candy

How to create:

  1. Trace the heart shape twice onto paper and cut out shapes.
  2. Decorate one heart.
  3. Glue together the bottom half of the heart pieces.
  4. Stuff with paper shreds and candy.
  5. Seal the heart shape the rest of the way.
  6. Gift to someone your valentine!

Shower Bombs

DIY Valentine craft: shower bombs (Craftworx)

Turn showers into a spa experience with aromatic bombs.

What you need:

♥ ½ cup baking soda

♥ ½ cup Epsom salts

♥ 2 tbsp water

♥ Desired color(s) of mica powder

♥ 15 drops of essential oil

♥ Dried rose petals

How to create:

  1. Add all of the supplies except for the rose petals to a bowl and stir until well combined.
  2. Sprinkle a few rose petals into the top left corner of mold cavities. (Makes 8 mini hearts or several large molds.)
  3. Spoon the mixture and press down slightly. The mixture will expand a bit.
  4. Allow to set for at least 12-24 hours to harden.
  5. Unmold and use 1-2 in the bottom of the shower.
  6. Gift it to a galantine to relax and enjoy!

Painted Heart Candle

DIY Valentine craft: painted heart candle (Craftworx)

Add charm to décor with a personalized candle.

What you need:

♥ Taper/tall candle(s)

♥ Colored tea lights

♥ Paintbrush

How to create:

  1. Melt the tea lights until they are mostly/fully liquid.
  2. Dip the brush into liquid max and add a generous amount of wax to brush.
  3. Quickly add melted liquid to the candle in a heart or dot design.
  4. Add several layers, as needed.
  5. Decorate candle.
  6. Enjoy your candle as part of your décor or gift to someone special!
