Chef Jassi Bindra focuses on fresh, fast, and flavorful ‘BOL’s

‘Bol’ Brings Bold, Customizable Bowls to Houston

Houston, TX – Houston food lovers have a new reason to celebrate as Kahani Social Group unveils its latest concept, bol, on Thursday, January 30. Located at 3201 Louisiana Street, bol shares its space with the recently opened Pok Pok Po, offering a fresh and flavorful fast-casual dining experience. To mark the grand opening, the first 50 guests will receive a free bol—a perfect introduction to its bold and creative flavors.

Led by Chef Jassi Bindra and Kahani Social Group founders Preet Paul and Surpreet Singh, bol reinvents the classic bowl concept with globally inspired, fully customizable meals. Diners can choose a bowl, wrap, or salad and build their meal from a selection of bases like brown rice, basmati, or masala rice. Protein options range from happy chicken and lamb keema to paneer and cumin potatoes, with an array of vibrant toppings, including pickled onions, spiced avocado, and Jassi’s signature hummus. All ingredients are sourced from trusted farms, with proteins sustainably and halal-certified.

“With bol, we’ve infused the classic bowl with global inspiration and bold flavors, giving guests the freedom to create meals that reflect their unique tastes,” says Chef Jassi Bindra.

The restaurant’s sleek black and neon purple aesthetic, designed by architects John Tsai and Robert Mazzo, blends modern style with Texas flair. Its inviting 24-seat dining area offers both quick bites and a relaxed dining experience.

Bol and Pok Pok Po operate daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (extended to midnight on weekends), making them a dynamic new duo in Houston’s food scene.
