HOUSTON – The holidays are a wonderful time for happiness and joy, but for grieving families who have lost a loved one - it can be the toughest time of the year.
Bo’s Place is a non-profit, Houston-based organization helping grieving families through the holidays.
The Houston-based bereavement center offers free grief support services for children, families and adults in their grief journey,
Bo’s Place is named in memory of Laurence Bosworth Neuhaus, Jr., who died of liver cancer in 1985 when he was twelve years old.
He left behind a lasting legacy of warmth and love that is reflected in the programs at Bo’s Place.
Bo’s Place began in 1990 as a grief support Information & Referral Line, providing callers with free grief resources and support contacts in the greater Houston area.
Today, Bo’s Place is Houston’s largest free-standing bereavement center providing grief support for children, families and adults free of charge.
Watch as Lauren Kelly chats with Bo’s place program Director, Marian Mankin, about all of the services they provide.
