HOUSTON – Cheers to Goodtaste!
Tanji Patton of Goodtaste TV stops by Houston Life to celebrate a big milestone, ten years of her series, Goodtaste with Tanji.
She reflects on how the series got started and the different stories and people she has met and featured on the show over the years.
One of her favorite Houston spots is B&B Butchers, located in the Heights.
Ben Berg, Houston restaurateur and the man behind B&B, was one of the early supporters of Patton and her Goodtaste TV.
She says, “he is one of the hardest working guys I’ve met.”
When dining at B&B, Patton recommends the following dishes.
Appetizers: Chef Tommy’s Bacon, Carpet Baggers on the Half Shell and The B&B “Steak” House Salad.
Entrees: Filet Mignon 8oz, South African Lobster Tail and the Snake River Farms Pork Chop
Sides: Creamed Spinach & B&B Mac & Cheese
Dessert: Berry Butter Cake and New York Cheesecake
Patton also brought in some of her wine finds. She recommends Luchi Prosecco and The Calling Chardonnay, both available at H-E-B.
Another popular stop for Patton in Houston is Kuhl-Linscomb. She always finds great pieces to add to her seasonal table there.
Patton is also adding a new segment to her show’s lineup called “Goodtaste for the Soul” celebrating the everyday moments we sometimes take for granted, like being out in nature, or catching a sunrise or sunset.
You can watch Goodtaste with Tanji this weekend on KPRC 2.
Tune in Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday at 5:30 a.m.
