HOUSTON – Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ has been called one of “the most remarkable shows in musical theater history” by the Washington Post. Its national tour kicked off this week in Houston and will travel to more than 80 cities during its run.
The musical follows the journey of Evan Hansen, a high school student who is longing for a chance to finally be accepted by his peers and fit in. It’s a storyline that is relatable to young people and parents alike and includes powerful messages of hope.
“I feel so lucky to be able to tell a story that I feel so passionate about,” said actor Michael Fabisch, who plays Evan in the national tour.

‘Dear Evan Hansen’ is playing at Theatre Under the Stars at Hobby Center through September 22, 2024. The show is recommended for ages 12 and up and contains adult themes, including discussions of suicide.
