CYPRESS, Texas – Kelsey and Cambel’s Kids Care, Inc. is calling on the community to show support for Texans affected by recent floods in Kerr County through a donation drive on Saturday, July 19.
Co-founders Kelsey and Cambel started the nonprofit when they were 6 and 8 years old. Now, at ages 19 and 22, they continue their commitment to community service year-round.

Kelsey is a recent graduate of Spelman College, and Cambel is currently a sophomore at Spelman.
The drive will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Cypress Creek Lakes Splash Pad, located at 11810 Cypress Creek Lakes Drive in Cypress.
The mission of Kids Care, Inc. is to encourage children and adults to “exhibit compassion in action.”
This event invites donations of all sizes to help families in need recover and rebuild.
Items most needed include:
- Clothing: Adult and children’s clothing for males and females, socks, and underwear.
- Baby and Children’s Items: Diapers, wipes, formula, medications such as Tylenol, Ibuprofen, children’s Imodium, Pedialyte, books, and stuffed animals.
- Cleaning and Sanitary Supplies: Mops, brooms, bleach, all-purpose cleaners, gloves, masks, shovels, rubber boots, and trash bags.
- Food and Drinks: Non-perishable foods, snacks, water, Gatorade, and Powerade.
- Toiletries and Household Supplies: Feminine hygiene products, full-sized shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, laundry supplies, peroxide, kitchen utensils, paper goods, can openers, spices, coffee makers, coffee, tea, and air mattresses.
- Pet Items: Food, kennels, carriers, and shampoo.
