Early Week Forecast:
High pressure continues to bring a hot, humid and dry weather pattern that looks to stick around all week. In fact, this could be one of the hottest weeks we’ll have for the remainder of our summer.
Tuesday’s forecast:
The humidity climbs a little Tuesday, so the air won’t be as day as Sunday and Monday. Temperatures climb to the upper 90s with a few spots reaching 100°. There is a little more humidity in the air today so some spots could stay under 99. A stray shower or two will also be possible but most of us will stay dry.
End of week forecast:
Houston won’t get an opportunity at rain until late week, and the chance is only 20%.
Temperatures will climb into the upper 90s, with the potential to hit 100° a few days this week. With the humidity, it of course, will feel even hotter. A very hot high pressure dome is planted across most of Texas this week, which is responsible for our current run towards 100 degrees in the afternoons.
Tracking the tropics:
We have entered the busiest 45 day stretch of our hurricane season. But because of intense wind shear and dry air over the Atlantic Basin there in no tropical activity expected for the next 7 days!
10 Day Forecast:
We’re in for one of the hottest stretches of late summer. Expect to see highs near 100 this week before a few small rain chances move in for the weekend.
